The waterfalls<\/h2>\n

In winter, it is the playground for climbing<\/strong> enthusiasts with one of the rare natural ice waterfalls <\/strong>in the Savoie<\/strong>. In summer, they are part of the hiking circuits<\/strong>, starting in Valmorel, that can be enjoyed with the whole family.<\/p>\n

Le Col de la Madeleine<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Col de la Madeleine<\/strong> is also one of the treasures of the region. It is the link between the Tarentaise <\/strong>and Maurienne valleys. A true place of pilgrimage for cycling<\/strong> fans from all over the world, it is located at an altitude of 1993m. It has been climbed no less than 26 times in the history of the Tour de France<\/strong>. The scenic route is also popular with motorbike riders<\/strong> from all over Europe. The road to the pass is dominated by the Lauzi\u00e8re mountain range, classified as a Natura 2000<\/strong> site. It is the secret spot for local ski touring<\/strong> enthusiasts. Valmorel and Doucy are also the starting points for hikes up to the summer pass.<\/p>\n

In summer, it is an outing for good walkers taking them up to the cross at the top engraved with its altitude of 2342m.<\/p>\n
