Nice hike in the Lauzière massif, with views of the Vanoise peaks and glaciers, without forgetting the inevitable Mont Blanc.
We will also recognize on the course the characteristic silhouette of the Black Horse. Route accessible to active families and experienced walkers.
From the parking at Pont Gelon (1589m), you go up the torrent by its right bank, and will cross it a little higher in the pasture.
The path will climb quickly through a series of tight laces and lead to Les Pissus (1960m).
You then take the direction "la Cave du Villard". It is a balcony path that offers views of the summits and glaciers of the Vanoise. You then pass the Loup lakes (round trip) through mountain pastures and moors (many blueberries).
A superb overview is then offered to you on the Vanoise and Mont Blanc on one side and on the other side a wide wild valley dominated by La Pointe de Combe Bronsin, we also see the Morel valley (Valmorel ).
You then descend to the Cave by the same path, then follow the Haut-Gentil stream to find the Gelon Bridge. This last portion of the trail is more comfortable than the climb, so it is best to hike in the direction described.
No major technical difficulties, a few overhanging overhangs.
