How to come to Valmorel

Located at the gateway to the Tarentaise Valley, Valmorel and the Aigueblanche Valleys are just a 2 hour drive from both Lyon and Geneva, 1 hour from Chambéry and just 30 minutes from Albertville.

Arrive at Albertville via the A43 from Chambéry or the N212 from Annecy, then follow the RN90 dual carriageway towards Moûtiers.

  • Take exit 36 for Celliers and Pussy, in the direction of the Col de la Madeleine.
  • Take exit 37 for La Léchère, Saint Oyen, Doucy, Valmorel and Nâves.
  • Take exit 38 for Aigueblanche, Villargerel and Villoudry.

Moûtiers-Salins and Notre-Dame-de-Briançon train stations are the closest stations serving Valmorel and Doucy.

There are shuttle buses leaving from Moûtiers bus and train stations  going to the resort. (payable service).

There are three airports near Valmorel. Transfers by car, train or bus:

  • Chambéry-Aix-les-Bains (90 km – 1h driving)
  • Lyon-Saint Exupéry (180 km – 2h driving)
  • Genève-Cointrin (125 km – 2h driving)
