Hydrospeed, also known as white water swimming is a sports activity where you use a special float to swim down the river and flippers to help you steer.
With your float and a Neoprene wetsuit with reinforced elbows and knees, you set off for a hydrospeed descent of the famous Aime rapids and the fabulous gorges at Centron. If you love a thrill, come and try white-water swimming! This original style of navigation allows you to discover the first sensations of being in white water over an 8km descent.
AN Rafting proposes different hydrospeed descents:
The "discovery" descent: starting from the AN Rafting base and ending at Centron (8 km) Try this hydrospeed descent of the upper Isère! White-water swimming from Aime to Centron down the 8km upper section of the Isère river. A thrilling and refreshing activity right in the river spray!
"Perf" descent: If you have already tried hydrospeed and want to take it a step further, you can opt for the "progress" descent on the upper Isère, where you will swim through the Aime rapids (used in world championship events) in the beautiful section of the river between Bellentre and Aime.
"Must" descent: If you want to do a hydrospeed descent on one of the loveliest and longest river sections in France and you have already done a hydrospeed descent with us, come and do THE hydrospeed descent on the upper Isère. It will take you through the Aime rapids (used in world championship events) then the gorges and rapids at Centron, travelling from Bellentre to Aime to Centron. (16 km).
You will be accompanied by a State-qualified instructor to ensure your safety and we supply all the technical equipment. Minimum age for this activity is 14 yrs and you must be able to swim.
