An impressive route, crossing the Lauzière balconies, climbing the mythical Cheval Noir, as well as the magnificent Crève-Tête ridges.
You will evolve mainly on single-track paths in ridges, undergrowth or balcony paths which will be rolling in the crossing of our small villages and technical in the heart of the Lauzière massif.
For once, your companions will be part of the party and will be able to benefit from free or preferential rate activities in Valmorel (swimming pool, accrobranche, introduction to the Laser rifle…).
This year, we have innovated and are offering activities to prepare for the weekend’s races. But you too, accompanying persons, can participate!
Local sportsmen and women have prepared “relaxing” sports outings with a nutritional approach to get to know the terrain better and to better understand the different Mad’Trail courses, but also to better understand nutrition for a sportsman.
Diego is a Fartleck trainer and preparator, Florian, Valmorel’s trail ambassador, is a mountain guide and won the 42km in 2018, Candice is a trainer and dietician.
The 3 of them form a strong team to prepare you for the Mad’trail and to take all the right information for your training and future races!

Pre-race debottlenecking trip
Registration in advance at the tourist office, places are limited. Departure in front of the tourist office.
Florian and Diego will take you for a maximum of 45 minutes of running with some intensity. The aim is not to create fatigue but to run together in a leisurely way with a bit of splitting. The elevation gain is low and the run is affordable.
After this run you will join Candice for a home made energy bar and drink! She will take the opportunity to give you some advice on sports nutrition.
Friday 9 July at 6pm
Conference "The daily diet of the runner around the effort".
Théâtre de verdure. Postponement of seminar room in case of rain.
Candice will talk about the basics of sports nutrition before, during and after exercise.

Registration in advance at the tourist office, places are limited. Departure in front of the Salle Rencontres et Musique.
Candice, Florian and Diego will take you, this time all 3 of them, for 30min of maximum effort interspersed with the latest advice on the terrain, checkpoints, ravito, diet… to get the best out of the races!
